StrengthsFinder
I took the StrengthsFinder Assessment in the fall of 2024 for Community Organizing for Health Promotion class. It gives you a overview of your top five strengths, along with what they mean for me in all aspects of life. My top five strengths are listed below, in addition my full report is linked to the right.

After taking CliftonStrengths, my top five strengths were listed as...
-

-
Learner: You have a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. The process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites you.
-

-
Developer: You recognize and cultivate the potential in others. You spot the sign of each small improvement and love when you see someone making progress.
-
Woo: You love meeting new people and winning them over. You enjoy socializing and making connections
Reflection
The quiz highlighted communication as a surprising strengths for me, since I used to struggle with expressing my thoughts and often shutting down during conflict. Over the past couple of years, I've worked hard to improve, and now I feel more confident in miniating relationships and sharing openly in all aspects of life. It also certified my values of empathy, adaptability, and my love for learning, which continues to shape how I grow both personally and professionally.

Emotional Intelligence
I took the Emotional Intelligence Assessment in the fall of 2025. This was a requirement for my Capstone course, and taught me some new information about myself. My scores are listed below and my full report is listed to the right.

My scores from highest to lowest are as follows:
-
Social Awareness (83/100), your capacity to recognize and interpret the emotions of others, grasping the deeper context of what’s happening. This often involves understanding what people are thinking and feeling, even when your own perspective or emotions differ.
-
Self-Awareness (82/100), your ability to recognize your emotions clearly and remain aware of them as they arise. This also means noticing how you typically respond in certain situations or with specific people, and staying mindful of those patterns in the moment.
-
Self-Management (81/100), your ability to use awareness of your emotions to remain adaptable and intentionally guide your behavior. This involves managing emotional reactions in a way that supports positive outcomes, no matter the situation or the people involved.
-
Relationship Management (73/100), your ability to draw on awareness of both your own emotions and the emotions of others to navigate interactions effectively. This means using emotional insight to guide clear communication, foster understanding, and handle conflict in a constructive way.

Reflection
Reflect back on this experience.
The scores did surprise me, I think I may have underscored myself in a few areas. I expected my social competency score to be higher than my personal competence score, but the opposite was true. Looking back, I realize I've spent much of this year reflecting on myself, which likely strengthened my personal competency. The results remind me that growth is ongoing and that motivates me to keep building balance between how I understand myself and how I connect with others.
